February 2012- May 2013 At Odd Fellows I was in charge of serving customers their food in a timely manner and with excellent customer service. I was also in charge of in putting orders for the customers, understanding the restaurants point of sales system, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. After 3 months of being a server I was offered to be their marketing intern. As their marketing intern I was in charge of all social media sites, creating specials and discounts, and planning fun events to attract more customers to the restaurant! |
Thanh Do-Asian Fusion Restaurant
(St. Louis Park, MN) January 2010- August 2012 Hired as a hostess this job showed me how stressful, . My duties entailed: greeting and seating customers, clearing tables and setting them for the next guests, and handling all take out orders from answering phone calls to making sure all items purchased were given to the guests. It was also at this job when I first learned about inventory, forecasting and labor costs in a restaurant. Working for a small successful restaurant gave me the opportunity to take on more responsibilities. Thanh Do is the reason why I wanted to work in the hospitality industry. |
